Hi there. I'm a Brazilian communicator, educator and learning scientist, currently under doctoral training at NYU. My work lies on the intersection of critical pedagogies, citizenship education, design, and human-computer interaction.
At age 18, I cofounded Curso Invest, a pioneer college prep program for low-income students in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2012, my work with Invest received the Makes a Difference national award, granted by the O Globo newspaper (Brazil).
I joined the academic world in 2016, when I started my Master's in Education Technology at Stanford. Before that, I took on various roles in the private sector, government, corporate institutes and NGOs.
Since 2019, I have been publishing opinion articles about education politics, policy and technology on Época magazine and the O Globo newspaper. If you speak Portuguese, don't miss them.
I'm currently affiliated with a bunch of amazing labs and research groups. I work in partnership with great colleagues from Columbia's TLTL, UC Irvine's Daplab, NYU's LEARN, and SUNY Buffalo's DolceLab. You can see more about the work I do with these labs in my projects portfolio.
